Poem: Awake
20080810
AWAKE
Lazuli my Love,
our beginnings have frosted.
Lifetimes have melted
thousands of years—become one Summer.
Your seasons are long
enduring and powerful…
You sleep like an Angel
frozen caught glimpse
at the Depths of the Earth’s sky.
Pieces of you inhabit me
pieces so sharp, every movement
pierces me…
This pain of Living
has been in your Memory
This pain of Power
in the Loss that is Love.
This pain that is Condensed
in the Deep Blue that is you
You have been saving yourself
for Eternity
that is why
open your eyes
Lazuli…
open and see me
as the golden flint
and fire
emancipating
its dust
this lust
within you.
