APOLOGY
I am writing in the Dark.
This Dark…

is my misgivings.

My love, I have done everything wrong.
and I am sorry.

There was the Sun and then the Moon.
I bathed in one and sunk in the other…
I had not considered
that you were my Witness.

My beloved, how many clovers have we got
this Life is but filled with Chances…

some say that Death means we’re out of Luck

But the Parting never Regrets.

I’ve seen you dance with Death
Death kept dancing–

we became Slaves to one another
as Time became the Headmaster.

Broken beings pretending.

Everything we carry: falls apart
Everything we hold: breaks
Everything we imagine: fades
Everything we love: dies

Broken beings with crippled dreams
smashing things and piecing them together
like a cheap Vase

until we become the vase–

the hate that hates
the thief that’s thievery
the killer that kills

but the Lover–is one who loves.

And I did not love the way love loves.

For that I’ve done everything wrong.

and I am sorry.
