I feel that the ultimate goal in life is LIBERATION in whatever form that may be.

If people are to function optimally in society, we have to promote Forward-Thinking inventions, business modalities and ideas, rather than that which sets us backwards, degrades or enslaves us.

The anti-virus software phenomenon is one of the biggest scams in the online community.

Not only are they costly (often requiring an annual membership) and bog down your computer system but also, they inject Fear and paranoia into your life unnecessarily.

For Windows users: a good alternative is AVAST software. It’s completely free.

I’ve used it for over one year without problems. It is a very lightweight system that works in the background. The best part about it is that it’s FREE. There are no funny ads or weird “catch” or gimmicks attached to it. So far, they deliver what they promised; and the free service requires zero maintenance and is fairly pure.

I use various OS’s but recently, I switched over to MAC.

If AVAST stops being free or working properly, please keep me posted so that I can remove this suggestion from my site. Thanx.

To continue using this product, all you have to do is to make sure your Registration is updated.

Tip: when Avast reminds you to update your registration (every 60 days), make sure you pull down Options menu to see re-registration for Home Edition; otherwise you will think you have to pay to upgrade. The procedure is very painless. If they start to annoy you too  much (time limitation; change in renewal frequency) or the process gets tricky—I would personally stop using it and MOVE ON.
